What are the risks of not having an X-Ray?

There may be consequences if you choose not to have the proposed examination. Please discuss these with your Doctor.

Please discuss any alternative treatment options with your doctor/clinician.

The images acquired will be sent to the reporting Radiologist and the result of your examination will be available to your Doctor between 24-72 hours after the examination

An accredited Medical Radiographer will be performing the examination, however all trainee Radiography student performing the examination are supervised according to relevant professional guidelines.

If you have any concerns about which Radiographer will be performing the examination, please discuss with the doctor/ clinician.

The most important step is to consult the healthcare provider, such as your GP or Specialist. They are best equipped to explain the results in the context of your overall health.
